J Basil Read III

While on active duty he served in a variety of sea and shore assignments including command of a destroyer and a university-based education unit. Basil has been an administrative officer, secretary and aide to an Admiral, and Secretary General of the Inter-American Naval Conference. Since retirement, he has worked as an academic in a college/university setting and in the public sector. Currently an adjunct professor of global leadership for Troy University, he also runs a leadership and management consulting firm in Florida's Tampa Bay area. He can be reached at info@read-read.com.
