CHERIE LEIKER, CAP, has over 30 years’ experience in preparing future administrative professionals. Currently, she is a full-time professor and department chair at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas, USA. She is also a member of IAAP. Cherie enjoys watching the students develop the skills and knowledge needed to start or enhance their careers. When she is not teaching, she and her husband, Jim Leiker, enjoy traveling locally and internationally. In addition, she’s an avid backyard bird enthusiast and enjoys researching her family’s genealogy, doing home improvement projects, and spending time with family and friends.
