I like to estimate the amount of time a task will take, write that number next to the task on my task list, and then double it when planning my day. Consider that telephone call you thought would take only five minutes. Or that letter you needed to print, only to find the printer out of ink.

Once you realize that there is more work than you can accomplish in your day, it’s time to prioritize. Focus on the tasks that will make the biggest difference and contribute to your goals. Identify what’s truly important and let the less critical items “go” to another day.

By focusing on high-impact tasks, you’ll make more meaningful progress without the stress of an overloaded schedule. This can not only boost your productivity but also improve your overall well-being.
