Yvette Lamb is the founder of The Admin Wrap, a newsletter for EAs and senior assistants around the world. She spent more than 20 years in administrative and operational roles and is the co-founder of the EA Salary Survey; an annual report covering administrative professionals across the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
More than half of our communication is through our body language. From our facial expressions, to the way we position our arms, to the direction we position our torsos. In an office environment, it’s incredibly valuable to understand some key body language signs when dealing with managers, subordinates, peers, colleagues or external clients. After this session you will be able to position people around a room in a way that makes the shy more comfortable and the confident a little quieter. You will notice the signs of people who are bored or who just really want to leave the room, and be able to direct the meeting accordingly.

Working at a start-up involves many different skills and techniques to not only get the office physically up and running, but behaving to the outside world that you are already established.
Having worked at two different start-ups, Yvette talks about the ups and downs of setting up and office. She gives advice on the things she learned on her journeys, and tips on how to be most effective when the company is growing at lightning speed.
Yvette spent nearly 15 years working in Executive Assistant and Office Management roles, before moving on to be her companyâs Head of Business Intelligence. Learn first hand which skills she learned as an assistant that meant she was given this opportunity, and which skills allowed her to pick up the role so quickly and effectively.

Yvette Pearsonâs talk at the Cobis PAConference, in Luxembourg was really interesting and engaging. She spoke passionately about the topic, which was thought-provoking and fascinating. She held the audienceâs attention extremely well and provided many opportunities for interaction. I had the pleasure of connecting and spending time with Yvette Pearson at the COBIS PA Conference in Luxembourg â 7-8th March 2019. From the onset, I was impressed with Yvetteâs passion, professionalism and enthusiasm.
Yvette delivered an inspiring keynote speech on – The art of understanding Body Language. She made this thought-provoking topic very easy to understand and interpret. Yvette has a very cool and calm manner and shares her message in a professional and light hearted way.
At the end of the event I had the privilege of being part of a panel with Yvette. It is clear she has great confidence and flare to public speaking.
